Jane C. Penny, PE

EXPERIENCE

Jane C. Penny is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 40 years of experience in planning, designing, managing, and constructing major civil engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects. Ms. Penny is the former AECOM group chief executive for national governments. At AECOM, she led the company’s government technical services group, and grew the federal professional and technical services business market sector for the firm, both within the U.S. and at international locations where AECOM serves U.S. federal government clients. She had operational responsibility for the federal business development group, as well as functional responsibilities for federal contracts and procurement, government accounting and compliance, and federal marketing and communications.

Prior to joining AECOM, she served as regional operations manager for Dynamac Corporation and was a senior environmental engineer for the U.S. Air Force, where she was responsible for the oversight of regulatory compliance for all 16 Air Force installations in the southeastern U.S.

She is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), previously served as the SAME National President and Chairman of its Board of Direction. Ms. Penny has been a member of SAME since 1983 and was the first female to be elected as president of the organization. She is currently serving on the Board of the SAME Foundation.
