Scout is thrilled and honored to announce the addition of Jane C. Penny, registered Professional Engineer (PE), to our Board of Directors. Ms. Penny brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships to Scout in developing business with federal agencies and building the infrastructure to win and execute government contracts.
Ms. Penny has more than 40 years of experience in planning, designing, managing, and directing civil engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects. Her extensive experience with U.S. Federal Government programs and mentoring client account managers across the enterprise, fostered critical decisions that garner exceptional client service, quality results, and enduring value across the organization.
Prior to joining Scout, she served as the Executive Vice President for the National Governments for a large business. In that position she played a key role in leading growth strategies, working with the regions and business lines. Focused on federal clients she was also responsible for growing the federal client account management programs.
Ms. Penny was the first woman to be elected president in 2015 by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Ms. Penny has been a member of SAME since 1983 and in that time has received SAME’s Gold Medal in 2022, the President’s Medal in 2008, became a Fellow in 1998 and was included in the first group of eight members to become Distinguished Fellows in 2019.
